A HAND WHEN YOU NEED ONE

Chess Clock support.

Quick answers for clocks, presets and the occasional accidental tap.

Why does 3+2 start at 3:02?

Fischer increment adds two seconds before the first move, then two seconds after each valid completed move. Resume never adds another bonus.

I tapped too soon

Pause, choose Undo last switch, and check both clocks. The most recent switch is reversed to its pre-switch values. The game stays paused so you can agree further corrections.

The clock paused when I switched tabs

That is intentional. Keep the clock visible during play. Return and explicitly resume so both players know timing has restarted.

My saved clock is slightly behind

An unexpected stop restores the last saved checkpoint, not an estimate of elapsed time while the browser was closed. Check both times, adjust if needed, then resume.

Presets are missing or cannot save

Presets are local to this browser. Private browsing, cleared site data or storage restrictions can remove or prevent saves. A storage warning means the current game can continue in memory, but recovery may not be available.

How do I delete my data?

Remove individual presets with their delete buttons. To remove all website clocks and preferences, clear this website's site data in your browser settings. This does not change data in another browser or the iPhone app.

How do I restore my iPhone purchase?

On the unlock screen, choose Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase. Connect to the internet to restore. Full games require the one-time unlock; the browser clock is free.

How do I resume on iPhone?

Press Resume, then tap your active clock when both players are ready. The other player’s clock does not restart the countdown.
